SNS Opens Signups for its First Online Course

July 28, 2015 – The Spiritual Naturalist Society opened signups for it’s first online course: SNS101 – Introduction to Spiritual Naturalism. The e-course will present the essentials of Spiritual Naturalist thought and practice, from a variety of perspectives and traditions. The course represents a hallmark in the movement to build a practicing community of Spiritual and Religious Naturalists. Executive Director, Daniel Strain, says of the course:

“This course is not about analyzing or discussing naturalistic spirituality as unattached observers or sociologists. It is a users-manual for applying naturalistic spiritual practices in your life to meet the challenges we all face, improve flourishing, and help the student to begin building a custom practice that is right for them.”

The course has been designed, and will be taught, by SNS Education Director, B.T. Newberg, who holds a Master of Education degree and is well experienced in teaching and in contemplative practices. The course will require about three hours per week, for 4 weeks. Registration fee is $100, or $50 for Supporting Members of the Society. Upon completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and their choice of a print and/or e-book copy of the upcoming book Exploring Spiritual Naturalism, Year 2: An Anthology of Articles from the Spiritual Naturalist Association.
