GENERAL
You (the member) understand and agree that the purpose of membership in the Spiritual Naturalist Society (us/we/the Society) is to help support its mission, and fund our activities to that end, as described on the About the Society page of this website. You further understand that Supporting Members of the Society may, at times, receive some additional benefits that Regular Members do not receive, as a show of appreciation for their financial support, and for practical purposes of financial stability of the organization. These benefits may include discounts or free passes to SNS program or materials, and more. These benefits are subject to change over time. You understand that you are a Supporting Member as long as you are enrolled for automatic monthly donations of membership dues, and cease being a Supporting Member when you cancel that function. You also understand there is an alternative method of donating by check through traditional mail, by which you would be a member for one year upon receipt of your check, and membership would need to be renewed after that by sending another donation check for whatever the yearly dues are at that time. As a member, you agree to follow the current terms of service, and that either party (the member or the Spiritual Naturalist Society) may choose to terminate your membership at will. You understand and agree that these Membership Terms of Service are subject to change over time.
PRIVACY
The privacy policy of the Spiritual Naturalist Society is to respect the privacy concerns of its members. We aim to understand the intent and wishes of the member, and carry out his or her wishes where privacy is concerned. We will not not share your personal information with other organizations or individuals outside the Spiritual Naturalist Society without your permission. However, we may occasionally share or release aggregate data, such as our overall website traffic statistics, social media page statistics, membership statistics, and so on. In these figures, your activities may go into the totals, but your your name and other personal, individual information will not. You and we agree that, in cases where private information may have been accidentally shared or shared due to technical malfunctions, hacking, or other unexpected means, or shared in a way not considered here, that we will each assume good faith in the other, and communicate to resolve the issue reasonably and with an attitude of honesty, forgiveness, good will, mutual respect, and compassion, before resorting to legal action, pubic condemnation, or extreme measures of any type.
YOUR ACCOUNT
Your membership account is processed, recorded, and managed through third party applications such as PayPal, Patreon, etc. (depending on what you have selected). You agree it is your ability and responsibility for maintaining the settings you desire, and for deciding when your donations of dues payments stop and start with these vendors. We understand and agree that it is our responsibility to allow you the ability to cancel your membership when you wish.
PAYMENT, BILLING, DONATIONS, AND MEMBERSHIP
Membership dues consist of a donation made in one of two ways: either by an automatic monthly billing processes (the “main method” preferred by us), or by a check sent through traditional mail for a donation of one full year’s (or more) of membership dues (the “check method”). In both cases, you understand that the donation is non-refundable. You understand and agree that there are other means by which to donate money; volunteer your time; offer your writing, art, music, or other properties; and otherwise contribute to the Spiritual Naturalist Society, but that these additional kinds of contributions do not constitute or imply membership in the Spiritual Naturalist Society or debt to you, financial or otherwise.
BENEFITS

You understand and agree that membership does not provide you with any portion of ownership in Spiritual Naturalist Society, Inc. or voting rights, or management powers.
INDEMNIFICATION
If anyone brings a claim against us or yourself related to your actions, content, or information on our websites or other online areas, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all damages, losses, and expenses of any kind (including legal fees and costs) related to such claim. You also agree not to hold us responsible (to hold us harmless) for any losses due to the actions of yourself or other third parties.
BEHAVIOR POLICY
As a member of the Spiritual Naturalist Society, you agree to conduct yourself in a mature, considerate manner when accessing our website or social media pages, participating in our events, and otherwise engaging in Spiritual Naturalist Society related activities. You agree in these cases that you will not post threats, hate speech, use abusive tones, or the like. You agree that you will not use the comments, forum areas, or any other services of the Spiritual Naturalist Society as a platform for solicitations. You agree to respect the privacy of fellow members and not disclose their private information to others. You also agree that you will not post, share, or disclose member-only information or other internal materials of the Society, or otherwise violate our copyrights. You also agree not to use the materials or intellectual property of other members or the Spiritual Naturalist Society, Inc. without permission. You recognize and agree that violating these policies or any portion of these Membership Terms of Service may result in termination of your membership and/or possible compensation for violations, losses, or damages.
